When you register your vehicle with visitor.us, the registered address for your vehicle is our address.

This means any toll notices or tickets incurred by your vehicle will be sent directly to us.

Here's how we handle these documents:

Notification process

  1. When we receive a toll notice or ticket for your vehicle, we scan and upload an image of the document to your visitor.us dashboard.

  2. You will be notified by email that a new toll or ticket has been received and is ready for your review.

While we try our best to upload tolls as soon as we receive them, we cannot guarantee that you will be notified before the toll due date. visitor.us is not responsible for tolls, tickets, or any associated late fees.

Where are my tolls?

Very few toll operators send out notices instantly. Instead, they send them weekly, bi-weekly or monthly in order to minimize the total number of notices sent.

Your responsibility

After receiving notification, it is your responsibility to:

  • Review the uploaded document promptly.

  • Follow the instructions provided on the toll or ticket to pay any fees, contest the ticket if necessary, or address any other required actions.

visitor.us does not handle payments or contest tickets on your behalf.

Selling your vehicle

When selling your vehicle, you must:

  • Remove your license plates before transferring the vehicle to the new owner.

  • Failure to remove your plates may result in tolls or tickets incurred by the buyer being sent to you and remaining your responsibility.

EXCEPTION: if you are traveling through Mexico, Central, or South America, your buyer may need to continue driving on your vehicle's plates. In this case, your plates should not be removed from the vehicle upon sale.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure a smooth experience and avoid unnecessary fines or fees.
