Forgot or update your visitor.us password

Whether you've forgotten your password or just want to change it, the same flow handles both — request a temporary password from the login page, sign in with it, then set a new password.

If you've forgotten your password or just want to change it, both situations follow the same flow.

visitor.us doesn't have a separate "change password" screen - all password updates go through the forgot-password process described below.


Request a temporary password

  1. If you're currently signed in, sign out first

  2. Go to the login page at autos.visitor.us/order/login

  3. Enter your email address

  4. Click Forgot password.

You'll see a confirmation message:

"Temporary password sent — An email will only be sent if the account is valid. This email may take several minutes to several hours to be delivered to your inbox."

The email comes from visitor.us and contains a randomly-generated temporary password. If you don't see the email after several hours, check your spam, junk, and promotions folders - the email is sometimes filtered.


Sign in with the temporary password and set a new one

  1. Open the email from visitor.us and copy the temporary password.

  2. Return to autos.visitor.us/order/login (the email doesn't currently include a link back to the login page, please navigate manually.

  3. Enter your email and the temporary password.

  4. After signing in with the temporary password, you'll be taken to a Set New Password screen. The temporary password is pre-filled.

  5. Enter your new password and confirm it. The Confirm button activates when both fields match.

  6. Click Confirm. You'll be taken to your dashboard, signed in with your new password.

You cannot skip the Set New Password screen - it's required before you can use the dashboard.


Temporary password expiration

Temporary passwords expire after a short period. If the temporary password no longer works when you try to sign in, request a new one by repeating the steps above.


Troubleshooting

"I never received the email."

  • Check your spam, junk, and promotions folders.

  • Confirm you used the email address associated with your visitor.us account.

  • If the email still doesn't arrive, contact us at [email protected] for help.

"My temporary password isn't working."

  • Temporary passwords can expire - please request a new one by going back to the login page and clicking Forgot password again.

  • Make sure you're copying the password without extra spaces. Temporary passwords are case-sensitive.

"I want to change my password but don't want to forget it first."

The forgot-password flow is the only way to change your password - there's no separate "change password" screen in the dashboard.

Click Forgot password from the login page; you'll receive a temporary password that lets you set a new one.
