Can I switch my insurance off if my vehicle is in storage?

You are not legally required to maintain insurance while your vehicle is in storage (i.e., not operated on public roadways).

However, we strongly recommend maintaining comprehensive insurance while your vehicle is in storage.  This protects your vehicle from fire, flood, hail, theft, and other perils while it is stationary.

If a friend or family member will drive the vehicle occasionally, we recommend maintaining liability insurance on your vehicle.
