Below is an example of a Montana Temporary Registration Permit (temp tag).
Montana’s temp tags are issued as PDF documents, which we’ll email to you upon request.
After printing the temp tag, cut it where indicated. Keep the lower section in your vehicle’s glovebox, and place the upper section in a plastic pouch and attach to your vehicle’s rear license plate bracket.
