Can I cancel my insurance for a refund when my visit is finished?

You are entitled to your unused insurance premium when you cancel your policy.

Auto insurance policies in the US are issued in six- and 12-month terms (six-month terms are common for light auto policies; 12-month terms are common for motorcycle and RV policies).

If you are visiting the US for less than six months, you might wonder what happens to your funds when you cancel your policy.

If you cancel your policy mid-term, you are entitled to a refund of your unused premium, less a fee - 10% of the unused premium value is most common.
