After payment, the next step is forming your Montana Limited Liability Company (LLC).

Requesting your LLC is a very simple process, complete in just a couple of steps:
Identity verification
Verify your identity by providing an image of your government-issued identity document, and a selfie. We use Stripe Identity for this step of the process, and we don’t store your identity data.
While we’re on a mission to welcome the entire world to the United States, we unfortunately cannot form LLC’s for passport holders of the following countries at this time:
- Cuba
- Iran
- North Korea
- Russia
- Sudan
- Syria
Provide your desired LLC name
After we’ve verified your identity, you’ll be prompted to enter your desired LLC name.
You can name your Montana LLC anything you want, as long as the name is sufficiently distinguishable from other Montana entities that are currently registered and in good standing. You can search for existing names on the Montana Secretary of State’s website.
Provide name(s) and address(es) of all desired LLC owners
In addition to the desired name, the Montana Secretary of State’s office needs to know who the owner(s) of your LLC will be, along with their home address(es).
The address of the owner(s) does not need to be a US address - it should be the owner’s home address, which can be anywhere in the world.
The user that signs up for visitor.us must be an owner of the LLC that we form.
visitor.us submits your application to the Montana Secretary of State
That’s it! All that visitor.us needs to form your Montana LLC is your verified identity, your desired LLC name, and the name(s) and address(es) of the LLC owners.
Once submitted, your LLC application will be reviewed for completeness by staff at the Montana Secretary of State’s office.
If your desired LLC name is sufficiently distinguishable from other Montana entities that are currently registered and in good standing, visitor.us will receive a notification that your LLC has been approved and is ready for use. (What can I name my Montana LLC?)
After receiving notification that your LLC has been approved, visitor.us staff will upload your LLC’s documentation to the visitor.us dashboard, and you’ll receive a notification that your LLC is approved and ready to use, and that its documents are ready to view.
Your LLC’s documentation
When your LLC is approved, you will receive its Certification Letter and Articles of Organization.
After your LLC is formed, you are ready to proceed to the next step: provide your vehicle’s details.
